Open to the plain of Vic, witness to the sea fog in winter, to the golden crop fields in summer, where there is a farmhouse that preserves all the warmth, the aroma and the pulse of the old peasant houses, but at the same time hides a great secret inside: an explosion of senses, a journey through the flavours of the land, a new concept of taste.
Can Jubany, near Calldetenes, is the restaurant that Nandu Jubany and Anna Orte have been managing since 1995. The traditional appearance of this must-see establishment fits perfectly with contemporary lines and modern furnishings indoors. Is the architectural interpretation of what is being cooked in the kitchen of the chef: a kitchen that gathers the experience of traditional dishes to reinvent them, products from the forest and the vegetable garden that pass to the plate, and innovative recipes that retain the essence of life.
The complete reform of the restaurant in 2010, coinciding with the 15th anniversary of its opening, befitted to make it more welcoming and functional: extended spaces, a fully equipped kitchen and open to the garden through a large glass windows, a new reception, lounge fireplace, outdoor terrace, reserved halls, the dining rooms on the first floor, the new bar counter, the table in the kitchen...
All designed to convey the warmth, familiarity and close treatment which have always been the Jubany cover letter, to breathe peace, quiet and comfort while tasting the regional fine cuisine; A pleasure for the senses.
